The LMO2 antibody is a high-affinity immunoglobulin designed to selectively bind to the LIM domain only 2 (LMO2) protein, a critical nuclear transcriptional co-regulator involved in hematopoietic development and T-cell oncogenesis. LMO2 contains two tandem LIM zinc-binding domains that mediate protein-protein interactions essential for the formation of multi-protein transcription complexes, particularly in erythroid and endothelial lineages. The antibody is typically monoclonal (e.g., mouse or rabbit origin) and validated for applications such as immunohistochemistry (IHC), Western blot (WB), and immunofluorescence (IF). It enables specific detection of LMO2 expression, which is often retained in vascular tumors and lymphoblastic malignancies, making it a key diagnostic and prognostic biomarker in hematopathology and angiogenic research. This reagent is often used in formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue analysis and is optimized to recognize human LMO2, although cross-reactivity with murine or other species may be reported depending on the clone.
